nice price deal !!! manchester s techno alchemist and master of the roland tr-808, the enigmatic mr.raw, debuting mancdetroit 12” on win or loose records straight outta toronto ca! long term nightclub shaman on the northwest of england circuit, raw served time in rotterdam s early 90s gabba circles before returning back to manchester to twist brain s n bodies with his wild blend of freestyle techno. raw s witnessed trends in production go from hardware to soft and back again but he s never strayed from a solid rack mount set up based solely around the tr-808. with a few added choice fx processors raw s style is loose n live and captures a pure spirit rarely exercised by today s pacified youth. -perseus dance- sounds like the kind of shit the great ron hardy would jam on, with two copies, for hours. inflicting a sherm-stick flavored mind-blast to the floor that may have indeed caused the good man to blush, we find percolating 808 percussion woven together with a mystic, fizzing lead line and twangy analogue artifacts. darkside acid dragged wailing and whining from rusholmes drains. flip and we have -hard on-: a twisted x-rated porno horror jam. raw s rapid-fire double-speed drum loops firing away while a plethora of abhorrent vox and coital sounds converge onto the track. a total wrecking ball of filth and hellish distortion which just smolders away in the basement of some sadistic nightclub like a rotten but highly intoxicating fungus ready to switch on any passing freaks.

2016 repress - further heat from gay marvine, brightening up every floor with powerful uplifting dj tools, the essence of the heat of the party. this time we have lost disco classic that just gets you burning, the funk of war given the perfect disco treatment, diana giving it to you like only she could (and later michael would, his exact staccato style), and luv tempo of factory favorites who later had a member who completed her phd in the cultural politics of the house music aesthetic in 1995. serious business for any floor!

italian dj and producer manuel fogliata hasnt released a lot of records over the last ten years, but the few he has put out have always been worth tracking down. perhaps best known for his work alongside donato dozzy in creating the much sought-after aquaplano records at the tail end of the last decade, nuels solo outings have been just as consistent and just as impressive.

the first release is coming with 4 high-talented players: skymark, nas1, jose rico and gari romalis. each producer delivers something different on this debut ep, expect crispy acid sketches, running mpc sequences, synths unleashed and a jackin’ low end.

legwork 5 comes from berlin-based bad boy kenneth scott. tonight is a slow building affair with a heavy bass line that weaves its way into your consciousness before opening up for all-out psychological warfare. on the flip the legwork guys speed up the tempo and add steady drum work to give the main loop its just deserts.

valioso013 comes this time from our beloved italian friend, mattia lapucci, his mixing skills are likewise his productions, just absolutely incredible. minimal in his perfection with classy drums, trippy percussions and synths are involving through the whole room when you hear the bonaffucci ep, but not only the originals are made of high quality sounds, regarding to the remixers section with vera, famous for her appearance at perlon, comes out with a very special remix as well as piticu, the outstanding talent from bukarest shows up with a drivy, romanian high class eat.

miss djax has the tb303 in her dna, that is no surpise! but there is more to discover on her new album flight 303. miss djax blends her musical past with the future and mixes old school sounds with influences from nowadays dance music. to think out of the box has always been her motto. therefore flight 303 cannot be labeled as a typical techno or acid album. and there is even more then just music on this release. exclusively available with the vinyl album of flight 303 is a new miss djax comic by alan oldham. the album + comic is released in a limited edition of 303 copies only and each comic is handnumbered by miss djax herself. the comic has also been animated into an amazing videoclip by vj yzco.

its always been tricky predicting what firecracker recordings will release next, though few would have expected an ep of freestyle, darkside drum machine jazz and percussive drone from berceuse heroique, nous and bedouin regular healing force project. sounding like early 23 skidoo replayed on drum machines and samplers, theres much to admire about the hectic rhythms, foreboding textures and dusty samples at the heart of gravitational lensing. its unclassifiable and completely out there, paranoid, dense and intense, with the fizzing drums, mangled horns and metallic percussion hits of random walks just edging out the experimental jungle-jazz madness of apophenia in the top tracks stakes.

two gold standard musical compositions i wont insult by labelling with a genre. *truth is the key* is one of my favourite tracks period, the arp solo just does it for me in every way. the vocal will be familiar as irene datcher also sang on the james mason lp (who also features on these tracks). *dreamflower* should need no introduction, famously sampled by erykah badus *didnt cha know* and many others. this is a sublime landscape is notable for ryo kawasakis dreamy guitar work, stone cold classic. both sides surprisingly have never graced the 7 inch format until now, absolutely essential 45.

with house warming andy vaz returns with his 3rd full lenght album on his own yore imprint. due to andys half indian roots, he is lucky enough to owe a beach house just outside of mangaluru, south india in the state of karnataka. where most parts of the album were written over a period of 6 months.

finally the dudes behind the fantastic hell yeah recordings step out into the limelight on their own with their debut ep of on golf channel. and what a debut! tracks range from blissful, boogie influenced house music (adriatic bolt) to the 1992 style primal scream psychedelic chugging banger (quando) via sunny acid (quiet force) and deep emotional vocal led ambience (i don t care who you are). just as you d expect from the amazing sounds their label has put out over the years, this ep is uncategoriseable in the best possible way we look forward to hearing more from the aptly titled balearic gabba sound system, this is just an aperitivo, or is it a selection of antipasti. either way, it leaves you ready for the next course. golf channel every time!

coeo are to toy tonics records, what master at work were to the house scene of the 1990ies: they bring the soul into the house. their new ep back in the days is a 4 track house stomper that could have been made in 1997 by guys like sneak, dimitri from paris or little louie. but still the similarities to the new berlin sample-house scene around max graef and hodini are evident, too. already their last years superhit native riddim (which is featured as a bonus track on this vinyl) included some heavy jazz samples they found in their parents bag of soul. native riddim has been no.1 in the traxsource charts for several weeks and was the basis for their already huge following. from laurent garnier to tensnake - the feedback has been awesome. now they proceed their way of souldful house. just good taste.

wph ten-2 follows…wph ten-1! sometimes life can be really simple. so now, the music. vintage dynamodyse (who is also srf inc of course, with some help from his friends) is what you are getting here. but seeing as our deep man from cologne isnt exactly the most famous producer on the block, well just remind you by saying that the music is deep house that has absolutely nothing to do with what all techsters and hipsters have been calling deep house. just listen and play the f..ck out of these two!

cardopusher appears as if by magic on super rhythm trax to drop four acid bangers. there are no frills or pretensions here, just jugular acid trax that dont mess around. straight up, solid and perfect for dark strobe lit basements. this ep channels the rawness with aplomb.

brendon moeller returns to third ear after some years, following up his lauded jazz junk safari trilogy of eps with 4 peak time bombs. all 4 tracks blow up the dance floor. brendon moeller known for his sound design, has taken his sonics to extremes on all four tracks, pushing, twisting and teasing frequencies to the limit. the bass on all tracks is phenomenal. it s just as well that a master engineer like pole has mastered these tracks, maxing out the sound yet protecting the sound systems that these bombs will be played on. super fun.

on november 13th, pnn records will release the debut album of its most enigmatic artist myr. diamondbacks make wonderful pets is more than just a strange name, it nine tracks represent an exciting evolution in myr.s trajectory as an artist. following his debut ep nobody knows avalon myr. seems to have dug deep and discovered another level to his sound. each of the tracks on the record are confidently offbeat and precisely composed.a little-bitty bowl (with b.hotton), mixes thunder sound-effects with glitchy synth bleeps, layering them above darker tones which build to a perfect storm in the middle. this 10 minute track fails to get boring and is representative of the album as a whole. myr.s ability to carry off strange hybrids is what makes his music unique. from the ghostly warbles of i think i hear them coming to the sunnier sounds of eleanor, myr.s disregard for the norm has lead to an exceptional record that surprises at every turn.

the last few years has seen parris make a name for himself across a number of scenes, to the extent he is just as likely to be found spinning records for butterz as he is putting records out on berceuse heroique. here at idle hands we first touched base with parris many moons ago when he bought copies of the first release on his soundman chronicles label into our shop. as it is one of our favourite labels we were intrigued to hear what he would come up with as producer himself. needless to say we were impressed. presented here are two tracks that perfectly reflect his sound and our own a nod to techno here, a weighty bass line there, a love of reverb everywhere and all with a view to being played in dark rooms late at night. the 12 inch of burr and blue is idle hands last release of 2015 and we think it rounds off nicely what has been a great year for the label.

cologne based artist adryiano has finally threaded into label managing waters. ever since the emerge of his multi functional platform cestraw back in 2011 adryiano has been twisting and thinking on when to launch the label side of things. after the humble success of his latest *down south* effort on soul notes it felt like the right time.
cr/001 turned out to be an emotive dance floor record that touches several different modes within the spectrum of underground dance music. from the straight forward 303-anthem *break module* to the uplifting yet deep, chicago-ish tones of *path of yours* - adryianos *default ep* is set to unfold just in time for the cold, dark days before christmas.

audiothentica is back in the game after two years of recovering. with a techy and special 4-track ep by lukas&merlin, a dj-fusion outta gelnhausen, near frankfurt. they started at the age of 17 in the attic of an abandoned neighboring house, trying out ableton and midi-keyboards. now they find there output on audiothentica with remixes by sven kerkhoff and frank leicher, which we not have to appoint more. we are very happy about that release and waive the description. all we have to say is that you ll find a wide range of electronic music broaded an intro-, warm-up-, peaktime- and afterhour-track. just have a listen, hope you enjoy.

*god is a dj* - need we say more? on sunday 8pm, maxi jazzs reverent flow managed to produce -god is a dj-, not just a dance anthem, but a hymn of majestic proportions. sunday 8pm is a prime example of dance music at the peak of its popularity, but dont let nostalgia fool you, this album still stands today even in one of the most changing and evolving music genres we know.
